Karen and Justin had a LONG wedding day. Yah I mean we shot for 16 hours! I remember back when I was 19 years old, shooting these 16 hour weddings and then ready to rock and roll the next morning. These days (as I am no longer 16) I find myself with a tight lower back by the time hour 8 rolls along lol Ah, getting older is amazing yeah? Well, this is why I shoot with a wonderful team. We divvy up the work, keep each other company and keep each other sane. As long as it was, their day was filled with so much joy and celebration. As a testimony to this, I think this is the most successful I’ve been with older Chinese people for their Portraits on White! Usually Asian people (in general) tend to be more conservative, stoic and just bored-looking in front of the camera however at Karen and Justin’s wedding they seemed to be really relaxed and having a great time! I got some really wonderful frames of them cracking up. The alternative theory is that they were plain laughing at my bad Chinese… Hm, I’d like to believe the prior though :)
