Hi everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying the fantastic spring weather :)
Ok, well for Cathrina and Julian’s engagement shoot it suddenly turned all windy/chilly and by the last 15 minutes of our shoot it started to sprinkle lol But that’s real spring for ya I guess! This shoot was a while in the making because Cathrina and Julian booked me 2-3 years back but nothing compares to the fact that they’ve been dating for 11 years now- wowza! I loved spending my afternoon with these two, seeing how comfortable they are with each other and how their personalities totally compliment each other’s. It was hilarious finding out how they met and started dating too haha I always love those stories.
Can’t wait for their gorgeous detailed-filled wedding at the end of the month.

What can make a chilly Saturday downtown more enjoyable? Two fabulous and easy-going people who wear their heart on their sleeves and seem to genuinely enjoy spending time together… AKA Prscilla and Yosvani :)
Although Justin will be photographing their wedding, I managed to tag along to shoot because I can’t get enough of them! Plus, uh they kind of make my job easy since they both are friggen gorgeous- inside and out! Wish I could be there at their wedding this summer but I guess I’ll have to be content with staring at their eSession images in the meantime :)

I finally get to share with you what went down almost a year ago at Angelina and Tyler’s wedding! Woohoo.
This wedding will go down as one of the most memorable weddings for me- from the amazing, out of this world details of Angelina and Tyler’s wedding but to also how amazing Angelina and Tyler are as people. From the get go they were so easy to work with and took to all my suggestions and advice, making for a smooth day for photography. I just recently caught up with Angelina over some coffee and give her their 40″x30″ custom canvas and it’s just great to hear how couples are doing, post-”hooplah” and wonderful to know they’re living and loving life together :)
This wedding had a LOT of well-known, and well-established vendors and it was a tad daunting but also incredibly daunting to be working amongst such high-calibre professionals. It really pushed me and my team to bring our own A game.

Wow, seeing these images really bring me back to one of my all-time favourite weddings and couples of my entire career. It also brings me back to a time when there wasn’t as much snow on the ground :P

Gee and Ron’s wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty! Hop over there to read about how Gee (and Ron) put together this visually unforgettable wedding in just 6 weeks– crazy!
In case you missed it, check out the blog post I wrote on their wedding which includes more photos and the breakdown of why their wedding was such a joy to photograph. In fact, they made our day so easy that I’ll have to give 90% of the credit to them for making our images look so good :)

One thing that I never mentioned in their specific post, but have in others, is how much better a couples’ photos turn out when they give us artist freedom and trust our vision. After all, that’s why they hired us in the first place right? The worse thing a couple can do (to themselves really) is start micromanaging or art directing their creative vendors. We thrive when we feel that you trust us to do what we do best and that’s when you, the couple, gets the best results. Goes without saying that Gee and Ron instilled in us a huge sense of trust and freedom on their wedding day and well, I believe you can see it in their photos.

Hello world!
Sorry for the silence but once my season winds down I love reclaiming my free time and spending it with family and friends! :) Now that I’m back and toasty from Cuba…

Jessica and David’s destination wedding in Miami! Jess and I have pretty much been life-long friends so it was a no-brainer to say “Yes” when she asked me to photograph their wedding. I was totally humbled. Their wedding was at the gorgeous The Palms Hotel & Spa and though there was a hurricane passing through Florida that weekend (!!), the wedding day’s weather held up with the sun peaking through for a brief moment. On our last day there, Justin even got in a morning swim and I got 45 minutes of morning sun.
The wedding day itself was relaxed and was definitely filled with the feelings of celebration. With Dave’s exuberant 12? 14? 15? groomsmen (!!), it was always a party :) One of my favourite moments was after their really intricate and interesting Coptic wedding ceremony, and there were like 20 of us on a private bus driving back to the hotel. The sun was shining and over the gorgeous water you could see Miami Beach afar. Everyone in the bus was singing (yelling) 90′s hiphop music that was blasting from the speakers lol

Ah, good times.

Jess and Dave: I love you guys both so much. It was a pleasure and a real honour to be asked to document and preserve your memories. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two :)
